Rigger (Part time, on-call)

We are currently seeking Riggers, part time/on-call to join our team. The position is to support our labor division in Las Vegas, which focuses on providing non-union technical event labor services for live productions, corporate events, sporting events, and much more.

*A background check and drug test must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with 3G.*

  • Establish hang-point, motor attachment to permanent rigging points, GAC Flex spanset attachments to the truss, run and dress motor cables, focus speakers, focus of lighting fixtures and other tie-offs, run cable picks and ensure safety of scenic pieces to hang-points. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the power phasing of motor controller is appropriate to prevent limit switches from being defeated.
  • Hangs points, calls bridles, ties knots.  Hangs soft goods and hard set pieces.
  • Operates rigging equipment during load-in, show and load-out.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.  Notify supervisor of any and all safety concerns. 
  • Perform all other tasks requested.
  • Must be 21 years old or over.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in either an audio visual, theatrical or arena rigging position. 
  • Authorized User Certification required.
  • Boom lift certification required. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or otherwise move and position a minimum of 100 pounds.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as boom lifts, standard and power tools, and audio/video and lighting equipment highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safe working loads, safety factors and rigging principles.
  • Typically requires ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and/or sit for long periods.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work in potentially adverse conditions, which may include heights, loud noises, large crowds, darkness and/or confined spaces.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • IRATA Level or equivalent ETCP Rigging Certification or other relevant professional qualification highly desirable. 
  • Fall Protection and/or Rope Access Certification preferred.
