Truck Driver - Class A

JOB SUMMARY: 
The Class “A” Truck driver will be responsible for transporting entertainment production equipment from 3G warehouse locations to various job sites both in and between Los Angeles and Las Vegas areas. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Oversee and execute the safe loading and unloading of production assets.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all vehicles.
  • Report any problems with vehicles to the department head.
  • Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
  • Document and maintain an up to date driver log with all mandatorymileage and rest breaks.
  • Collect and verify all necessary delivery paperwork for accuracy.
OTHER DUTIES: 
  • Maintain a safe working environment.  Notify supervisor of any and all safety concerns. 
  • Always adhere to safety standards and rules and regulations of the road.
  • Perform all other tasks requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Proven work experience as a truck driver. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Must have no recent moving driving violations.   Must have current DOT medical card. Must be 25 years or older and have a High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical requirements may include:
  • Ability to drive for extended periods with flexible hours. May be asked to work unconventional, varied schedules including overnight shifts.
  • Assignments will be out-of-doors, sometimes in remote locations, and subject to prevalent weather conditions.
  • Typically requires ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and/or sit for long periods.
  • Specific vision capabilities include color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Noise tolerant; noise level in the work environment varies and can be loud.
Mental requirements may include:
  • Strong understanding and experience with electronic equipment and GPS software.
  • Good problem solving skills, common sense and good judgment.
  • Be flexible and adaptable under varied conditions and requirements.
  • Maintain composure/perform well under time pressures.
  • Ability to hear and communicate verbally, and read and speak English.
