JOB SUMMARY:  Stagehands are responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling, and maintenance of stages during productions.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with 3G Productions, Inc. policies, practices and procedures. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks
  • Move gear to/from set up area(s)
  • Assemble and disassemble lighting, audio, video, scenery equipment and staging
  • Run, coil properly, store and tape down cables
  • Unload and set up road cases.
  • Set up risers and musical equipment.
  • Assist with scenic, video, sound, and light production
  • Provide manual labor for the set-up and tear down of a show, as required.
  • Always adhere to safety standards and use safe working methods.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or otherwise move and position a minimum of 75 pounds.
  • Typically requires ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand/sit for long periods.
  • Specific vision capabilities include color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Noise tolerant; noise level in the work environment varies and can be loud.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • May be asked to work unconventional, varied schedules including overnight shifts, holidays & weekends.
  • Assignments may be out-of-doors, sometimes in remote locations, and subject to prevalent weather conditions.
  • Capable of following instructions and work well with others.
  • Good problem solving skills, common sense and good judgment.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions while maintaining strong detail orientation, be flexible and adaptable under varied conditions and requirements, and maintain composure/perform well under time pressures.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of one year (2000 hours) in either an audio visual, theatrical or other professional entertainment workplace environment.
